Eating Locally is easy and restaurants can provide great variety from beautiful freshly caught seafood in Mortehoe to exquisite harbourside meals in Ilfracombe. Here is a list of
some popular local restaurants:
Mortehoe Shellfish restaurant is situated along North Morte Road in
the charming village of Mortehoe. It has been run by the same
family of fishermen since the early 1970's. The family boat "Walrus"
supplies most of the fare brought to the table.
Damian Hirsts Restaurant in Ilfracome is beautifully located by the harbour
on one side and overlooks the sea on the other. The restaurant occupies
elegant dining rooms upstairs, one of which is
designed as an upturned boat. Watch the harbour life
go by over a tapas lunch served in the bar.
The Rock Inn in Georgeham produces high quality
food.

A previous winner of the nations favourite Fish & Chip shop is Squires in
Braunton which is worth a visit.
